Vulnerability Part 2: The Divine Feminine (2020) is the second edition of the Vulnerability series. For this edition, I decided to extend the theme to explore more about femininity and vulnerability, and the intersections of such.
I was really inspired by the ways in which people see femininity as a weak trait, and how this influences our dominant culture. To me, feminine traits equate to strength - do you know anyone stronger than a woman!?
This edition of the series involved 29 individuals from Meanjin and surrounds, and this time included a storytelling element, something that has become pivotal in all of the editions of Vulnerability.
People involved were prompted to write their experiences with femininity and vulnerability and the strengths that they felt identified with these themes. The outcomes were truly beautiful and personal stories of self-reflection.
